Alright, time to stop neglecting our blog! It’s been a crazy wedding season to say the least. 2014 has been nothing short of amazing and 2013 ended with a bang. Here’s a look back at a wedding in November of 2013 at the beautiful Shores Resort and Spa here in Daytona Beach.
Jennifer and Jason had an elegant wedding with subtle hints of beach accents brought in through the centerpieces. Jennifer wanted a simple approach to a beach wedding since the venue itself sat directly on the “Worlds Most Famous Beach”. I always find that using large focal beach accents is the perfect compliment to a beach theme.. small shells and little nick-nacks either get lost or become overly cluttered to where there is no real design. So I opted to use gorgeous white coral shells in the sand boxes for half of the centerpieces and I spray painted coral “fans” a shade of coral to work into the actual floral arrangement of the second centerpiece design. The flowers were stunning!! Coral Charm peonies, coral Movie Star roses, white fluffy hydrangeas, large succulents and white dendrobium orchids added a lot of texture and made for fabulous photos!
When it came to laying out the layered design of the reception, less was more and we went subtle in the linen colors with a soft gray with beautiful white chavari chairs. This allowed the coral in the flowers to POP! in the room. Everything just layered together so perfectly and you can see for yourself below…
