Joshua & Neisha 3.10.12

I remember the day exactly when I first met Neisha. She was so quite and reserved with really no direction on what she wanted designed for her wedding. However, by the end of our consultation I had her beaming ear to ear with anticipation of what was to follow. I was able to help her discover what her taste and style was, which is so rewarding to me! I love helping brides who are not really sure what they are looking for and have no idea where to even begin. That usually leaves the door open for me to be creative and offer  suggestions that they probably would not have thought about. To me that is the difference between a “designer” and a florist. A florist will expect for you to tell them what you want and to show them through pictures while a designer can blindly plan an entire event touching on all details without the guidance of the client. So I truly appreciated the trust Neisha had in myself and our team to create a beautiful setting to celebrate the most important day of her life.

The ceremony took place at a truly unique and one of a kind place in downtown Orlando, The Abbey. The Abbey is an old school almost retro theater. To play off the theater Neisha and Josh created their invitations to look like movie tickets and their photographer Michael of Michael’s Photography and Video created actual movie posters from Neisha and Josh’s engagement session so showcase at the wedding. The posters were placed inside the acrylic frames placed on the outside of The Abbey so guests actually felt as if they were attending an actual movie! So fun!!

The reception followed there after at The Mezz which is upstairs from The Abbey. Overlooking the streets of downtown Orlando The Mezz was a fabulous space! I love how modern and stylish it is. As you enter the building you see black and white damask wallpaper all over the place.. I’m a sucker for that pattern I have to say:)When you walk into The Mezz you are blown away by the style of the carpet to the rich hardwood dance floor to the built in lighting that is customizeable to EACH client’s event. Perfect!

Everything came together beautifully that evening. Neisha was a true gem! It actually felt a little bittersweet as I had grown to really love working with Neisha and our time planning together had come and gone so quickly. But the show must go on….:)

Thank you Neisha and Josh for allowing us to be a part of your day. We truly loved every minute of it and we wish you the absolute best. Cheers to a wonderful life together!
