Derick & Mary 10.8.11

I always love the opportunity to design unique arrangements that are not the norm. Now don’t get me wrong…:)I love to design all arrangements, but when Mary came to me and said I do not want anything too girly I was game! One unique thing we did was instead of traditional flowers submersed inside of her tall vases under water, we tinted plumosa foliage black and submersed that under water… Totally unique! And it created such a cool affect inside the vases. Now of course I am all about RED too.. so I made sure to bring in unique red flowers.. such as red Jamestory orchids, red hanging amaranthus, red Piano spray roses and we worked with tropical ti-leaves called Xerox leaves that have a black/red tint to them. So I believe it’s safe to say we covered the texture area of flower choices!!

The day went beautifully! Both Mary and Derick were in anticipation for a long time… Small world too! Turns out, Mary and I went to high school together and graduated in the same class. Obviously we ran in different circles. But it was cool knowing that we shared that in common. GO Sharks!! LOL.

Congratulations to you both! May you share many many many more years together. And a BIG thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.
